This position is primarily responsible for positively influencing customers’ prescribing behavior to achieve sales targets, develop territory and build strong customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products in a given territory in compliance with AZ CO.

**What you’ll do**

As a function within AstraZeneca Global Compliance, Compliance Assurance provides independent assurance to the AstraZeneca Board. The function operates globally, and each Assurance Partner delivers assurance work for a cluster of countries or individual Marketing companies. This job add is for Saudi Arabia, which may be expanded to other cluster countries.

**Typical accountabilities will include**:

- Deliver globally, regionally and locally defined 2nd Line Assurance Plan in line with established timeframes.
- Record and report all relevant assurance activities in 2nd Line reporting systems.
- Deliver agreed Assurance reports to Business Partners, Assurance Leads, Business Leaders, and other global stakeholders in line with agreed timeframes.
- As required support discussions at the LCC level on Assurance activities and levels of assurance within the market.
- As required) provide advice to and consults on effective implementation and maintenance of 1st line monitoring activities.
- Perform non-significant compliance investigations and issue reports.
- Provide support to Global Investigation Directors for significant investigations.
- Ensure prompt communication of all potential investigations to Area Assurance Leads to identify the correct path of action.
- Maintain compliance AZ Ethics matters (including monitoring and self-reported cases).
- Maintain professional & effective collaboration with Compliance Business Partners and Business including:

- Meaningful insight to Business Partners about the status of assurance and any recommendations for improvement plans or corrective actions
- Timely updates on key incidents/investigations that impact the respective local market
- Keeping abreast of local market developments that may impact the state of assurance

**Essential for the role**
- Qualified professional - compliance, law, accountancy, audit.
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, external audit firm or a related industry.
- Compliance professional including strong assurance experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the multi-cultural arena.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of processes and controls.
- Strong communication, partnering, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep business understanding.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion.
