Position Summary
- The Strategic Account Senior Manager is responsible of managing prioritized strategic account to achieve agreed long-term objectives. The Strategic Account Senior Manager main responsibilities are segmented into three key areas: key account engagement, Key customers relationship management, and leadership.
- This role is responsible for the development of the account’s strategic planning by partnering with colleagues from Pfizer cross functional teams and co-creating innovative value propositions that are aligned with the account’s objectives and priorities.
- The Strategic Account Senior Manager needs to have a good knowledge and accurate insights about the healthcare environment and the market’s challenges and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities
Account Management:
- The Strategic Account Senior Manager is responsible of managing prioritized strategic account nationally based on three key areas: key account engagement, Key customers relationship management, and leadership.
- Expert on the healthcare environment and the market’s challenges and opportunities.
- Achieving / exceeding agreed sales targets, market share and promoting brand image in the assigned area for the assigned products - developing work/activity short and Long Account plans in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular mapping of Key stakeholders within Key Accounts to be submitted at the beginning of year and updated quarterly through Pfizer Segmentation Model and Tool.
- Develop long lasting relationships with Key customers at key accounts.
- Conduct thorough and ongoing needs assessment of customers at key accounts and take action to meet customer needs in compliance with Pfizer policies and SOPs.
- Be the Point of Contact between Pfizer and accounts and act as the "voice of customer" internally, communicating customers interests to cross functional teams to develop tailored strategies /solutions that will meet achieve win /win outcome.
- To be involved in accounts negotiation and support Pfizer Position through Market Intelligence.
- Up to date competition activities at the Accounts Level nationally.
- Provide insights on account analytics to support business decisions.
- Monitor policy change at the Accounts and proactively communicate to commercial Organization.
- To be Pfizer Point of Contact at account level Leading the team on key business drivers and engaging the customers.
Account Plan:
- Identify and engage target customers at the privet entities to support the key strategic initiatives and long-term growth goals.
- Develop and implement Business/Customer/Account plans for achieving sales goals in line with the Pfizer Business objectives.
- Lead aspects of account team’s planning and execution activities using Pfizer systems e.g. KAM PULSE, GTCS, Bid Office, etc.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stocks of Pfizer Portfolio at Accounts and ensure adequate supply using Pfizer stock management Systems and avoid out of stock situations through timely supply of Pfizer Products.
- Forecast quantities of product by account based on Tenders and contracting shipments and supply status
- Provide Monthly Forecast to the commercial organization to be updated periodically based on commercial organization structure from ready to sell products at distributor level.
- Oversee invoicing & delivery to Accounts in collaboration with Customer Relations to invoicing and delivery process.
Cross functional Collaboration:
- Serve As Pfizer Point of Contact with Key Customers and coordinate the cross functional activities with the different team members to fulfill the agreed upon account strategies for Pfizer Portfolio.
- Provide regular update on the status of the accounts to cross functional team members in commercial communications meetings with categories.
Education, Experience and Technical Skills Requirements
- Medical/pharmaceutical educational background.
- 10+ years sales experience.
- Role model for Pfizer values and leader behaviors.
- Knowledge of healthcare environment - Structures/ Functionality/ Processes.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic languages, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, business analytical skills, influencing and Interpersonal communication ability.
- A confident and determined approach.
- Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection and demonstrate problem solving capabilities.
- A high degree of self-motivation and drive.
