**Key Responsibilities**:

- Use the data as a tool to achieve strategical goals
- Preparation of a plan of the short-, mid
- and long-term goals also mentioning the criticality of each goal
- Building out strategies for the BI analytics teams
- Create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, visualization
- Through the data analysis and BI assist in the decision-making process for each department to achieve strategic goals
- Serve as a key driver on various new technology initiatives and programs on behalf of IT organization, including big data
- Ensure BI & Analytics’ best practices and methodologies are adopted by each business unit and department
- Understand business demands and manage the budget for BI related initiatives
- Improve the quality of the data which will result to improving the analysis and visualization to have more accurate and meaningful results
- Consistent search of new trends in analytics and BI to provide Ma’aden with the newest and most efficient methods
- Simplifying the analysis and BI results to be readable for all Ma’aden departments
- Communication between the departments leaders to identify needs and to emphasize on the need of proper data gathering and how it can assist the organization
- Leading project that critical for Ma’aden to achieve strategic goals
- Responsible on building the BI & Analytics team
- Responsible of the training and development of the BI & Analytics Team
- Leading the transformation into Data & Analytics and BI
- Overseeing all activities of business intelligence and data analytics teams
- Creation of KPIs regarding the business objectives
- GAP analysis between as is and to be regarding data

**Qualifications, Experience and Core Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any other related field.
- 5 years’ Experience in the mining Industry & business, with Management Role in Projects and Systems
- The ability to transform raw, hard data into visual contexts.
- Ability to deliver results and strong leadership.
- Knowledge in mining sector business models, spotting opportunities for optimization, and building test and insight plans.
- Understanding how to effectively assess business processes in the mining sector.
- Knowledge in drivers of overall business performance of the mining sector.
- Ability to lead analytics and a large analytical team.
- Efficient in communications
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical and business evaluation skills
- Experience with BI/data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong background in data solutions using data warehouses (Hive, Teradata, Redshift), data pipelines (built using Pig, Python, Java, and SQL)
- Experience using Big Data tools
- Highly skilled in performing quantitative analyses on various business functions.
- highly proficient in the workings of data technologies.
- Excellent communication and story-telling skills with the ability to present complex concepts to management, team members, and non-technical audiences.
