**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Working as part of IBM’s Technology Unit, this is a Software Sales role to promote IBM’s AI Applications software capabilities IBM AI Applications are open and hybrid, and can be deployed across different private and public clouds, therefore our solutions have wide appeal and relevance in the market place.

You will:

- Support IBM by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation AI Application strategy.
- Build strategic relationships with executives and key decision makers in our clients to promote our portfolio of AI Application solutions.
- Allow our clients to empower their organizations with data, by providing their business users, analysts and data scientists the tools and capabilities to understand and analyse data, visualize information, predict business outcomes and automate models using machine learning.
- Prospect for new client engagement & opportunity development.
- Leverage the wider sales IBM team to plan the overall AI Application strategy within a set of defined accounts.
- Manage all aspects of a sales cycle from opportunity identification, through to the negotiation and closure of contracts.
- Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within named accounts and foster long-term partnerships.
- Be proactive with our clients to ensure that the IBM AI Application capabilities become the first choice for our strategic customers.
- Relevant IT sales experience preferably AI Application domain expertise
- Proven track record of success in software sales, with emphasis on new client acquisition
- Strong business and commercial acumen with proven credibility at all levels and evidence of building strong relationships internally and with the client
- Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
- Successful history of net direct new business sales, with the ability to prove consistent delivery against targets.
- High motivation, resilience and passion to succeed
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**:

- Relevant IT sales experience preferably AI Application domain expertise
- Proven track record of success in software sales, with emphasis on new client acquisition
- Strong business and commercial acumen with proven credibility at all levels and evidence of building strong relationships internally and with the client
- Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
