We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of our Middle East offices, specifically in Riyadh.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team supporting senior leaders across Corporate, TMT, Energy and Infrastructure, Litigation and Arbitration, and Infrastructure and Construction Disputes practice areas. Our market-leading groups work with top clients on high-profile projects, transactions, and disputes.

The successful candidate will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in executing and delivering business development strategies that drive client engagement, brand positioning, and revenue growth across CMS Middle East offices, with a primary focus on Riyadh.

This is a broad and hands-on role, covering operational and strategic BD responsibilities. The individual will work closely with partners, fee earners, and senior BD managers to provide proactive support across business planning, client targeting, marketing campaigns, events, tenders, and pitch development.

  • Develop and maintain a business development infrastructure for the group, including credentials, standard pitch content, client mailing lists, brochures, flyers, and inserts.
  • Support pitches and capability statements, collaborating with other practice groups or sectors as needed.
  • Create weekly progress reports for the Riyadh office, showing progress against targeted BD activities, pitches, and tenders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing and thought leadership campaigns aligned to the integrated campaign plan for CMS Middle East and the firm as a whole.
  • Manage various events across Riyadh, including planning, organization, and execution.
  • Support activities aimed at targeting potential clients or further developing existing clients, working with the sector marketing team as appropriate.
  • Work with Heads of Communications and Brand & Sector Communications to help the firm differentiate in the market through identifying, developing, and promoting a meaningful proposition.
  • Ensure directory and awards submissions are completed on time and reflect the correct messaging about CMS and its overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relations with key individuals across the firm.
