Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team at SAMACO Automotive. As a Luxury Car Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and repair work on high-end vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostic repair work on luxury cars, ensuring accurate and efficient diagnosis and repair of complex issues.
  • Analyze work orders to understand vehicle condition, diagnosis, and agreed-upon work, ensuring thorough documentation and accurate recording of hours and materials used.
  • Maintain the highest standards of workmanship, adhering to the latest technical guidance and evolving technical practices.
  • Document completed work orders, ensuring warranty material is kept and returned to the Warranty Clerk, and minimizing wastage of materials, oils, and fluids.
  • Assist the Workshop Controller in scheduling and prioritizing work, advising on luxury car work requirements that affect service prioritization and supervising the completion of jobs to ensure exceptional workmanship.
  • Act as a guide and mentor to junior technicians, providing technical advice on non-luxury car work and assisting with the induction of new staff.
  • Be proactive in suggesting better ways of working, as appropriate.
  • Test vehicles and provide diagnostic reports to the Workshop Controller and service reception.
  • Conduct pre-service booking discussions with customers to resolve issues, using customer-facing skills to understand and interpret faults leading to an accurate diagnosis.
  • Communicate with customer-facing luxury car staff and customers over fault diagnosis in a clear and unambiguous way.
  • Meet customers at new vehicle handover, setting up the vehicle and demonstrating technical features as required.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with Volkswagen and industry safety standards when returned to customers, and any faults have been reported and noted on the job card.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, environmental, and recycling policies, as well as internal policies and procedures, focusing on customer needs and building upon the professional reputation of the retail facility.
  • Check the condition and ensure the correct maintenance of tools, equipment, and other materials in accordance with company policy.

Skills

Essential Recruitment Criteria

  • Minimum of Two years of experience in the same post.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working for a prestigious motor brand.
  • Proven track record in vehicle repair and servicing.
  • Proven technical ability at a level commensurate with that for selection to the Master Technician course.
  • Current driving license.
  • Ability to use technical vehicle repair and diagnostic software tools.
  • Arabic & English language.
