Business Development Director
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our growth initiatives in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing, engineering services, and similar specialties akin to our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives in Saudi Arabia, focusing on generating new revenue streams and expanding market share within the region.
- Market Insights and Analysis: Utilize extensive knowledge and experience of the Saudi market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and industry trends to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients, to foster collaboration and drive business growth.
- Sales and Marketing Strategies: Drive the development and implementation of tailored sales and marketing strategies to effectively position our company's products and services within the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing and engineering & digital services, in alignment with our business model.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in the field, leveraging a deep understanding of industry best practices and competitive intelligence to provide insights and guidance to our executive team.
- Team Leadership: Closely work and mentor a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability.
- Industry Representation: Represent our company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, build strategic partnerships, and identify potential business leads.
- Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed revenue targets and KPIs, demonstrating a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in the Saudi Arabian market.
Requirements
- Education: An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business (or equivalent), required.
- Experience: Twenty (20)+ years of experience that include ten (10)+ years of industry experience and ten (15)+ years of experience in Business Development with experience in selling capital project solutions and engineering solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Requires in-depth knowledge of the Refining, Petrochemical/Chemical, Energy Transition, and Process services industry and customer base in Middle East and Africa.
- Leadership Skills: Lead the process from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, preparation of internal approval documents, and contract signature.
- Travel Requirements: 50% travel required to meet regularly with customers.
- Communication Skills: Experience in preparing and presenting information to prospective Clients/Owners and executive management.
