Business Development Director

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our growth initiatives in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing, engineering services, and similar specialties akin to our business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives in Saudi Arabia, focusing on generating new revenue streams and expanding market share within the region.
  2. Market Insights and Analysis: Utilize extensive knowledge and experience of the Saudi market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and industry trends to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Forge and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients, to foster collaboration and drive business growth.
  4. Sales and Marketing Strategies: Drive the development and implementation of tailored sales and marketing strategies to effectively position our company's products and services within the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing and engineering & digital services, in alignment with our business model.
  5. Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in the field, leveraging a deep understanding of industry best practices and competitive intelligence to provide insights and guidance to our executive team.
  6. Team Leadership: Closely work and mentor a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability.
  7. Industry Representation: Represent our company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, build strategic partnerships, and identify potential business leads.
  8. Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed revenue targets and KPIs, demonstrating a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in the Saudi Arabian market.

Requirements

  1. Education: An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business (or equivalent), required.
  2. Experience: Twenty (20)+ years of experience that include ten (10)+ years of industry experience and ten (15)+ years of experience in Business Development with experience in selling capital project solutions and engineering solutions.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Requires in-depth knowledge of the Refining, Petrochemical/Chemical, Energy Transition, and Process services industry and customer base in Middle East and Africa.
  4. Leadership Skills: Lead the process from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, preparation of internal approval documents, and contract signature.
  5. Travel Requirements: 50% travel required to meet regularly with customers.
  6. Communication Skills: Experience in preparing and presenting information to prospective Clients/Owners and executive management.
