About the Role

The ENTERTAINER is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team. As a key member of our financial operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding customer account balances, driving timely payments, and reducing credit risk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management: Proactively manage and collect outstanding customer account balances to ensure the resolution of dues.
  2. Collection Targets: Achieve or surpass monthly collection targets, contributing to the company's financial health.
  3. Credit and Collections: Cultivate customer relationships to ensure prompt payments while preserving high retention rates.
  4. Debt Analysis: Analyse and reduce debtor balances, aiming for continuous improvement in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  5. Account Reconciliation: Conduct intricate account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
  6. Credit and Collection Policies: Uphold and enforce stringent credit and collection policies within your team.
  7. Communication: Engage in effective communication with customers and coordinate with internal teams such as sales to streamline processes.
  8. Closed Receivables: Oversee and manage closed receivables and coordinate with third-party collection agencies as necessary.
  9. Vendor Registration: Maintain accurate records on the vendor registration portal, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  10. Invoice Issuance: Guarantee that all invoices are issued in alignment with client agreements.
  11. Customer Inquiries: Address customer inquiries promptly and efficiently on a daily basis.
  12. Client Meetings: Engage in face-to-face meetings with clients to address account-related issues and promote seamless business operations.
  13. System Recording: Accurately record and allocate information within the system.
  14. Business Improvement: Actively seek out and recommend opportunities for business improvement.
  15. Payment Issues: Engage in direct dialogue with Sales Managers and the Country Manager regarding payment issues, keeping them informed about financial interactions with clients.
  16. Reporting: Regularly report to the Head of Credit Control, escalating issues as needed.
  17. Customer Satisfaction: Fulfil the company's service guarantees, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  18. Team Collaboration: Foster clear and effective communication within the team, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a relevant field preferred.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles.
  3. Credit Risk Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in credit risk analysis and customer account management.
  4. Financial Knowledge: Profound knowledge of financial principles, credit terms, and risk assessment practices.
  5. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective customer and internal interactions.
  6. Analytical Abilities: Analytical abilities to evaluate financial data and determine appropriate credit limits and terms.
  7. Financial Record Management: Precision in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
