About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our China Department activities, driving the delivery of our strategic objectives and contributing to the success of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement the Department's operational plans, aligning with the Sector's overall strategic plan and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  2. Prepare and manage the China Department's annual budget, ensuring effective utilization and accurate reporting of progress and challenges.
  3. Investigate and propose strategies to achieve positive financial impact for the Saudi Tourism Authority, mitigating financial and operational risks.
  4. Oversee the development of market offerings, ensuring establishment and achievement of set targets.
  5. Build and manage relationships with key market offering partners, promoting and providing tourism offers/discounts.
  6. Establish and manage relationships with key tourism industry players and experience providers to enable the achievement of tourism targets.
  7. Identify market offering opportunities to support tourism across various destinations and time horizons.
  8. Propose improvements to China Department policies, ensuring implementation of procedures and controls.
  9. Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
  10. Manage, guide, and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures.
  11. Participate in identifying and recruiting key talent for the China Department.
  12. Promote a high-performance working environment embracing the Saudi Tourism Authority's values.
  13. Build and maintain solid relations with external stakeholders, serving the best interest of the Saudi Tourism Authority.
  14. Provide assistance across the organization and support peers when needed to perform their duties.
  15. Approve reports and presentations related to China Department activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making.
Requirements
  1. At least 12 years of experience in tourism trade management or equivalent.
  2. A bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or equivalent is preferred.
  3. A master's degree in marketing, sales, or equivalent is preferred.
