The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in conference production, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. You'll be responsible for developing engaging conference programs, managing speakers, and ensuring seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Production

  • Create innovative and relevant conference programs that cater to the needs of our audience.
  • Establish strong relationships with key professionals and institutions to produce high-quality conference content.
  • Engage with expert speakers to secure their participation and promote their expertise.
  • Maintain an updated speaker database to provide accurate information for event management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to craft compelling creative briefs.
  • Lead telesales efforts and schedule follow-up meetings to track progress.
  • Ensure timely completion of all CME/CPD application forms and supporting documentation.
  • Provide valuable insights to the sponsorship team and attend sales meetings as needed.
  • Mentor junior conference producers within the team.
  • Analyze post-event feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Market Research and Industry Networks

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments through ongoing research.
  • Develop new conference ideas and program content in collaboration with experts.
  • Work closely with the director and sales team to generate innovative conference concepts.
  • Identify influential opinion leaders and institutions to build strategic partnerships.
  • Nurture existing relationships and establish new connections to enhance conference offerings.
  • Compile a list of key hospitals and healthcare organizations related to the event.
  • Explore opportunities for additional revenue streams and delegate engagement, such as workshops and poster sessions.

Speaker & Delegate Liaison

  • Build strong relationships with speakers, exhibitors, and delegates to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with on-site duties as required during the event, which may involve extended working hours.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

  • Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in conference production.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with individuals and groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the events industry.
  • Ability to conduct research-based tasks.
  • Effective copywriting skills to craft compelling content.
  • Broad knowledge of brands and market trends.

Desirable

  • A scientific background or related industry experience.
  • Knowledge of exhibition production and event management.
