Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager, DCC Communities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Manager to join our AWS Infrastructure Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment, growing a team, and overseeing their development and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and Assign Tasks: Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
- Manage Inbound Hardware Installation: Manage the installation of inbound hardware from receiving through deployment stages, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Manage Cabling Infrastructure: Oversee the installation of cabling infrastructure in a data center environment, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Guide and Train Staff: Guide, train, and educate staff on best practices related to all service owner issues, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team.
- Manage Projects and Deliverables: Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Recommend Policies and Procedures: Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Provide Weekly Reporting: Provide weekly reporting to data center managers, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Coordinate Team Resources: Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management, maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs.
- Recruit and Train Staff: Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels, ensuring a high level of expertise within the team.
- Host Staff Meetings: Host weekly staff meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration within the team.
- Drive Compliance: Drive compliance with Amazon performance management requirements, ensuring a high level of accountability and transparency.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering discipline.
- Relevant Work Experience: Relevant work experience in Data Center, IT Operations, or similar.
- People Management Experience: Experience in people management, including mentoring and training staff.
- Technical Skills: TCP/IP networking, network cabling, structured cabling, optic types, and test equipment experience.
- Master's Degree: Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Data Center Experience: Experience working in a Data Center.
- LEAN/6 Sigma Experience: Experience implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (continuous improvement, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc.).
- IT Infrastructure Experience: Experience with information technology infrastructure domains such as compute server platforms, storage server platforms, server components, network devices, cabling best practices, and IT service delivery principles and best practices.
