Job Description

The ideal candidate for this Operations Manager role will have a strong background in civil engineering and operations management. A proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, streamline processes, and ensure successful project delivery is essential. This role drives operational excellence and supports the company's strategic goals in a dynamic and competitive market.

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including project management, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring client specifications, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across the organization.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for operations, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and profitability.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards, maintaining the highest level of service delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to operations and projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute operational strategies aligning with the company's growth objectives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, focusing on operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Experience working in the Middle East or familiarity with regional regulations and business practices is highly desirable.
