Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Start-up and Commercial Procedures

Establish and implement commercial and contractual procedures and protocols for project start-up and implementation.

Commercial and Contractual Interactions

Interact with project teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders as required, in respect of financial and contractual matters.

Budgeting and Estimating

Prepare, review, update, and advise on client budgets and estimates for consultant services and/or construction works.

Procurement and Tendering

Procure consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc. including pre-qualification, tender analysis, tender reports, and recommendations.

Contract Documentation

Prepare and/or review tender and contract documentation in coordination with the project team for consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Contract Administration

Administer and/or monitor new and ongoing contracts for consultants and contractors, providing advice to the project team.

Claims and Variations

Prepare correspondence and maintain records and logs for variations, claims, etc. necessary to ensure the effective administration of all financial and contractual matters.

Contractual Advice

Review contractual notices of all types of claims and provide contractual advice to the project delivery teams.

Contract Close-out

Facilitate the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractor/consultant.

Reporting and Communication

Assist in the preparation of cost, monthly progress, and any ad-hoc reports as required by the client.

Commercial Meetings

Attend and/or chair commercial meetings and attend design meetings, progress meetings, workshops, etc. as required.

Requirements
  1. Education

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related field.

Professional Membership

Professional Membership such as RICS would be an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 15+ years experience required in contracts administration/management in Mega projects.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Software Knowledge

Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and contract administration.
