The Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll. This includes:
- Managing General Ledger: Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, prepare journal entries, code invoices, perform accounts analysis and reconciliation, close books monthly & yearly, and set up new accounts.
- Processing Fixed Assets: Handle acquisition, transfer, depreciation, disposal, and verification of fixed assets.
- Handling Payroll: Process payroll payments to employees.
- Managing Accounts Payable: Receive invoices, match invoices, resolve issues, and enter invoices into the AP system, as well as process invoices for payment.
- Analyzing Financial Data: Analyze accounts, assist in period end and year end closings, and prepare consolidated financial statements for the entire organization (NMC & Business Units).
- Ensuring Tax Compliance: File all appropriate tax forms (ZAKAT) and reports with government agencies.
- Assisting External Auditors: Assist external auditors at year end including preparation of schedules, invoices, and explaining supporting procedures.
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. A Professional certificate (i.e. CPA or CA) is preferable. You must demonstrate the ability to handle all activities related to Accounting, think logically and systematically, and possess strong interpersonal skills such as communication, motivation, loyalty, and openness.
You should also have knowledge of computerized accounting systems, spreadsheet software, and be able to communicate properly in oral and written form. Proficiency in both English and Arabic Language is required.
