Job Description:

The role of a Food Quality Associate at Calo Inc. involves supporting the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. This individual will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality within our business.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail and be reliable and committed. They must also have general knowledge and comprehension of quality standards to ensure that our products meet flawless materials. Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation.
  • Develop procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
  • Monitor all operations affecting quality.
  • Implement preventive measures to prevent health hazards.
  • Ensure checklists are met on a regular basis.
  • Conduct multiple audits on the floor and with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality and safety issues.
  • Implement root cause analysis with suppliers.
  • Analyze procedures throughout the entire production cycle to ensure efficiency and compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement Food Quality strategy, goals, and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain food safety goals, objectives, policies, and procedures such as HACCP, sanitation, temperature logs, cleaning lists, etc.
  • Assure production reliability and consistency by checking processes and final output.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards.
  • Identify quality defects and food safety issues and other problems; recommend solutions to these issues.
  • Train the team on food safety and implement policies and procedures to improve day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure work environments are safe and adequate.
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Ensure products adhere to legal and safety standards.

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

  • A fresh graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/Pharmacology/Biological Sciences or any other relevant degree.
  • General knowledge of quality methodologies.
  • Must be based in Saudi Arabia.
  • Eligibility for the Tamheer Program is preferred.

Knowledge and Competency:

  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Great attention to detail with a results-driven approach.
  • Fast learner, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Able to promote a food safety culture.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Pleasant personality and able to lead with empathy and patience.
