Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salon Hostess to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the floor functions of the salon, assisting team members and clients in a professional, courteous, and on-brand manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Greeting and Welcome: Greet and welcome all guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  2. Salon Preparation: Ensure the salon is ready at the start of each day, with all bookings checked in advance and check-lists in place.
  3. Staff Support: Assist team members with job assignments, tasks, and checklists, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  4. Appointment Management: Record reservations and manage the appointment schedule, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  5. Client Pampering: Provide exceptional customer service, pampering and looking after guests within the salon.
  6. Guest Queries and Complaints: Deal with guest queries and complaints efficiently, conveying relevant information to the supervisor/manager.
  7. Product Knowledge: Be highly knowledgeable of all salon offerings and prices, consistently promoting products and services, and reaching targets assigned for Hostess.
  8. Checkout and Payment Procedures: Ensure the smooth departure/checkout of all guests, conducting check-in, check-out, and payment procedures.
  9. Treatment Timing: Monitor and record treatment timing of the technicians, ensuring accurate and efficient service delivery.
  10. Staff Grooming and Appearance: Assist supervisor/manager in monitoring staff grooming and appearance, ensuring a professional and polished image.
  11. Computer and Booking System: Acquire and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the computer and booking system, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.
  12. Content Creation: Create content, taking photographs and videos for company social media channels as per instructions from management.
  13. Communication: Reply to emails, WhatsApps, and text messages on salon email and mobile as per instructions.
  14. Cash Handling: Responsible for cash sales and following proper cash handling procedures.
  15. Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality at all times, handling sensitive internal information and client details with extreme care.
  16. Inventory Management: Ensure adequate supplies are available at all times, and assist in maintaining adequate and accurate inventory levels.
  17. Delivery and Storage: Receive deliveries from suppliers, cross-check, and ensure proper storage.
  18. Salon Maintenance: Monitor quality of the interior of the salon and report any maintenance issues to the manager.
  19. Team Communication: Effectively communicate with all employees within the salon, supporting their roles and ensuring a cohesive team effort.
  20. Hostess Area: Ensure the Hostess area is clean and presentable at all times.
  21. Standard Operating Procedures: Reference and abide by the Salon's Standard Operating Procedures, Policies & Forms Manuals.
