Business Development Representative, BSS - Sales and Business Growth Expert

About the Role:

The Business Development Representative, BSS will be responsible for identifying and researching new potential clients and developing and maintaining client relationships. The successful candidate will also be required to promote the assigned business products and services through the sales of General Inbound and Outbound logistics solutions and services to clients, thereby exceeding the set sales target.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and research new potential clients and develop and maintain client relationships.
  2. Promote assigned business products and services through sales of General Inbound and Outbound logistics solutions and services to clients.
  3. Exceed set sales targets.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1-2 years' experience in a sales or business development role in the shipping / maritime / supply chain / logistics sector.
  2. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English is a compulsory prerequisite. Arabic is an added advantage.
  3. High attention to detail and fact-based decision-making.
  4. PC proficient with MS Office and well-versed with shipping-related MIS systems.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Good knowledge in the shipping industry related to bunkering, chartering, crewing, port agency, and ship supplies.
  2. In-depth understanding of import and export laws and regulations.
  3. Knowledge of shipping export documentation process.
