Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to lead our team in implementing company risk management practices and complying with regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, you will provide expertise, advice, and technical assistance to project managers in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.

  1. Develop and implement site-specific work plans, SH&E compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  2. Collaborate with project managers to evaluate contractors' SH&E performance, planning, and culture to ensure consistency with company risk management practices and core values.
  3. Audit projects and programs against corporate standards, creating and submitting written audit reports.
  4. Inspect worksites to detect hazards and provide expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control SH&E risks associated with exposure to hazards.
  5. Implement Parsons' occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
  6. Initiate and conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible protocols.
  7. Collaborate with project managers, craft workers, and other project personnel to identify effective corrective actions.
  8. Perform trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports.

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Minimum 10 years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience.
  3. Extensive knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures.
  4. Advanced knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
  5. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
