Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to lead our team in managing complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reviewing, managing, and implementing contractual aspects of large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and recommend revisions to contractual documentation to ensure compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Conduct fee negotiations and draft policies and operating guidelines as necessary.
  • Support senior management in monitoring and controlling the performance of contracted services.
  • Implement procurement, commercial, and contractual procedures to ensure timely resolution of contractual compliance issues.
  • Negotiate major contracts and clarify contractual requirements in meetings with consultants and contractors.
  • Manage a team of commercial staff to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
  • Responsible for all commercial and procurement duties, including payments, change management, and issuance of commercial and procurement reports.
  • Manage contract administration, claims, disputes, contract interpretation, and cost analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or related field.
  • 20 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Experience in PMO/PMC on giga/mega value projects.
  • Experience in large-scale projects such as Aviation, Transportation, Infrastructure, Buildings, and Utilities.
  • RICS, MRICS, or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to perform in a management capacity.
Preferred Skills:
  • Leadership and management of teams.
  • Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal/external correspondence.
  • Understanding of budget development and cost accounting.
  • Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals.
  • Knowledge of construction contract negotiation and administration.
