You'll be responsible for developing innovative conference programs, managing speakers, and ensuring seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Production

  • Design and implement high-level industry-relevant conference programs that stimulate discussion and debate.
  • Liaise with key professionals and institutions to produce thought-provoking conference content.
  • Foster relationships with expert speakers to secure their participation and showcase their expertise.
  • Maintain an up-to-date speaker database to provide accurate information for event management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging creative briefs.
  • Lead telesales efforts and schedule follow-up meetings to track progress.
  • E nsure all CME/CPD application forms and supporting documentation are completed online within deadlines.
  • Provide valuable insights to the sponsorship team and attend sales meetings as needed.
  • Mentor junior conference producers within the team.
  • Analyze post-event feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Market Research and Industry Networks

  • Conduct research to stay ahead of industry trends and developments.
  • Develop new conference ideas and program content through collaboration with experts.
  • Work closely with the director and sales team to generate innovative conference concepts.
  • Identify influential opinion leaders and institutions to build strategic partnerships.
  • Nurture existing relationships and establish new connections to enhance conference offerings.
  • Provide a list of key hospitals and healthcare organizations related to the event.
  • Explore opportunities for additional revenue streams and delegate engagement, such as workshops and poster sessions.

Speaker & Delegate Liaison

  • Build strong relationships with speakers, exhibitors, and delegates to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with on-site duties as required during the event, which may involve extended working hours.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level

  • Possess a degree or equivalent qualification.

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in conference production.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with individuals and groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the events industry.
  • Ability to conduct research-based tasks.
  • Effective copywriting skills to craft compelling content.
  • Broad knowledge of brands and market trends.

Desirable

  • A scientific background or related industry experience.
  • Knowledge of exhibition production and event management.
