Job Overview

The Sales Engineer will serve as a technical bridge between our sales representatives and pre-sales customers. As a Trend Micro product expert, you will guide customers and prospects in selecting and deploying Trend Micro Next-Gen security solutions, taking joint ownership with the sales team in developing customer relationships and providing leadership in security architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, risks, and technology gaps to provide tailored solutions.
  2. Collaborate with the sales team to develop customer relationships and drive sales growth.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to customers and prospects, ensuring seamless product implementation.
  4. Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies, including cloud security, SASE, CASB, and zero-trust models.
  5. Develop and deliver training programs for internal sales staff and channel partners to enhance their product knowledge.
  6. Work closely with regional and global product managers to stay informed about the latest product and technology developments.
  7. Deliver engaging technical demonstrations and presentations to customers and partners, highlighting the benefits and value of Trend Micro products.
  8. Empower channel partners to effectively promote and sell Trend Micro solutions to their customers.
  9. Present complex technical information in a clear, concise manner to various levels of an organization.
  10. Apply problem-solving skills to design solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
  11. Develop close relationships with customers to influence their technical strategy and drive sales success.
  12. Contribute to the development of departmental best practices, strategies, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Stay current with industry trends and participate in technical communities to maintain expertise and stay ahead of emerging threats.
Requirements
  1. 10 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or equivalent role.
  2. Proven track record of delivering high-quality presales support and solutions that bring unique value to customers.
  3. Strong understanding of SOC operations, security analytics capabilities, cloud architecture, and cloud-native application security.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google, and AWS services is a plus.
  5. Experience with security software solutions, such as firewalls, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, and data protection, is a plus.
  6. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  7. A strong interest in all aspects of cybersecurity and a passion for customer security.
  8. Excellent understanding of public cloud technologies, such as AWS and Azure.
