Account Manager

The Account Manager - Engineered Polymers Specialist will be responsible for implementing the sales strategy of the Engineered Polymers business line in the North Africa and Middle East region. This role will focus on developing and delivering business growth through the acquisition of new customers in the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities- Hunt for New Business Opportunities
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team (Marketing, Technical Business Development, R&D) to identify new business opportunities in priority end-markets.
- Develop these opportunities into commercial leads.
- Implement Sales Plans
- Develop and implement sales plans for global/key accounts, distributors, and other assigned accounts for both Expancel and Polysulfides product lines.
- Ensure timely and accurate sales forecasts.
- Provide Accurate Sales Forecasts
- Develop and manage sales pipelines for Expancel and Polysulfides.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for the assigned accounts.
- Manage Distributors
- Manage distributors in the region to ensure effective sales execution.
- Build Strong Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts.
- Identify and nurture growth opportunities for Expancel and Polysulfides.
- Document Interactions
- Document all relevant interactions and communications with assigned accounts in CRM.
- Translate Customer Needs
- Translate customers' needs into meaningful actions and input for decisions regarding asset development.
- Develop Dual Sales Channels
- Develop and build up dual sales channels by selecting, training, and managing suitable distributors and conducting direct sales towards identified key industry segments.
- Serve as Lead Contract Negotiator
- Serve as lead contract negotiator on commercial terms.
- Manage Contracts
- Manage contracts, confidentiality, and joint development agreements.
- Communicate Effectively
- Communicate effectively with management and other functions on key activities at assigned accounts and prospects.
- Provide Accurate Forecasts
- Provide accurate 24-month rolling forecasts for each account in Arkieva.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant Education
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, technical engineering, or material science.
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in the Middle East (KSA+ Egypt) and North Africa in the field of specialty chemicals.
- Strong Network
- Strong network and connections in the GCC area.
- End Market/Customer Knowledge
- End Market/customer knowledge: CASE, Performance Material (thermoplastic – thermosetting Composit material) and Rubber.
- Proven Track Record
- Proven track record of success delivering on aggressive growth.
