Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to support our team in delivering projects on time and within budget. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project controls and scheduling functions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the development and management of cost control systems to provide accurate financial information to project and company management.
  2. Facilitate the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS) and interface with procurement, engineering, and finance departments as needed.
  3. Perform independent analysis of data stored in project management and cost control systems, creating presentations to illustrate cost status.
  4. Apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships to support project delivery.
  5. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts using project data.
  6. Analyze and evaluate current project status against established baselines, forecasting future outcomes.
  7. Assess the impact of design or construction changes and schedule slippages on project delivery.
  8. Report schedule status to project and company management, as well as to clients.
  9. Identify potential areas of delay or slippage, highlighting critical events and suggesting mitigation measures.
  10. Prepare regular progress reports and monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations.
  11. Conduct detailed assessments of claims, including extension of time and disruption.
  12. Coordinate with clients to finalize contractor programs, reports, and claims.
  13. Attend meetings, providing valuable inputs and preparing concise meeting minutes.
  14. Monitor critical issues during design and construction stages using trackers and logs.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of related work experience.
  3. Basic engineering knowledge in civil, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
  4. Proficient PC skills, including proficiency in project controls software (Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  2. Saudi Nationals only.
  3. Collegiate, team-player attitude.
