About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Project Coordinator to join our team at WSP. As a BIM Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor project progress and team performance to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and assist the project team in the overall use of BIM within the project.
  • Manage the project supply chain to deliver high-quality information, data, and models to the client.
  • Ensure QA/QC and audit processes are performed on a regular basis on contractor's BIM deliverables against the client's EIR.
  • Assist and support the project team in the implementation and administration of BIM systems.
  • Support the project team in ensuring that all contractor BIM models related to facility operations have all the information gathered during the construction phase related to amenities and facilities.
  • Capability of understanding and applying BIM client requirements (EIR) to the project and analyzing, reviewing, and commenting on the main contractor's BIM execution plan(s).
  • Support the project team in the configuration, maintenance, and administration of the project CDE (Common Data Environment).
  • Ensure the implementation of open BIM standards such as IFC or buildingSMART, and international standards such as BS EN ISO 19650 or PAS 1192 series.
  • Ensure the contractor follows proper integration of other data sources, such as GIS and PMIS, with the BIM data.
  • Coordinate BIM issues with the supply chain to develop and reinforce standards to refine models and deliverables.
  • Assist in BIM implementation, standards, workflow, and methodologies during project supervision/construction and handover.
  • Assist in managing all legal implications of delivering good practice BIM and develop specific BIM protocols and legal frameworks.
  • Identify and detect any potential opportunity or risk for the project or the team.
  • Hands-on capabilities in creating templates, high-level BIM families, shared parameters, scheduling, and BIM modeling.
  • Integrate leading-edge BIM applications into the BIM models, including scheduling, cost, asset management, and O&M programs.
  • Report to the project manager, project director, and client representatives in a structured manner.
  • Assist with the upskilling of the project team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in design, drafting, and BIM management on large-scale projects.
  • Mandatory proficiency on BIM360 and ACONEX Environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of BS 8536, PAS 1192, and ISO 19650 series.
  • Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery at LOD 500 and 4D, 5D, etc., deliverables.
  • Experience working within a multi-national working environment would be beneficial.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
