Job Description:

The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving sales growth through new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly sales targets
  • Ensuring seamless execution of events through close collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting systems to track sales performance and client satisfaction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization visits to build strong relationships with clients
  • Establish parameters, quotes, and negotiate prices with customers for group business
  • Maximize up-selling opportunities while adhering to selling strategies
  • Understand overall market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand to sell effectively

Customer Focus:

  • Support customer loyalty and property brand standards by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
  • Serve customers to grow share of account
  • Build strong relationships with customers, guests, and colleagues to gain full understanding of their needs and serve them effectively

Colleague Relations:

  • Maintain excellent working relationship with all colleagues within the hotel
  • Utilize available on-the-job training tools for colleagues

Administrative Duties:

  • Attend weekly Conference & Events meeting with Operational team to communicate new events and existing ones
  • Attend weekly and monthly department meetings and prepare account performance accordingly
  • Ensure files are up to date with latest booking information and inputs in system comply with company standards

Sustainable Responsibilities:

  • Implement eco-friendly practices to minimize the hotel's environmental footprint
  • Educate colleagues and clients on sustainable initiatives to promote awareness and adoption
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, conserve energy, and optimize resources
