About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Youth Empowerment Specialist. This role requires a strong background in youth development, international relations, and global governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives related to youth empowerment.
- Provide specialized support and expertise to Country Operations Managers, Operational Team Leaders, and Project Management Specialists in identifying, mainstreaming, and monitoring youth empowerment in Bank operations.
- Design and develop youth empowerment initiatives, programs, and projects.
- Implement frameworks, tools, and operational guidelines to support member countries in youth empowerment.
- Monitor and assess initiatives related to youth empowerment programs and projects.
- Provide intellectual leadership on positioning the Global Practice (GP) internally and externally.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships to mobilize resources for youth development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in youth development, international relations, global governance, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (5 years in a developing country context).
- Master's degree / PhD in relevant field preferred (Master's = 3 years experience; PhD = 6 years experience).
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of youth empowerment.
- Professional experience in international relations, global governance, and youth development.
