Cargo Sales Manager

Yours is a role that will see you at the helm of building RX's Cargo division into a world-class operation. From building Cargo infrastructure, to designing commercial processes and driving revenue growth, you'll manage high-stakes relationships, oversee key suppliers, and implement digital strategies that align with our cutting-edge vision.
This role isn't just about managing cargo; it's about reimagining how it's done. Your role involves selecting, appointing, and managing top-tier GSAs and offshore reservation units, whilst maintaining strict compliance with international standards.
Further, you'll contribute to product development and collaborate with product specialists to deliver bespoke solutions which are fit for market, and create E2E solutions across system architecture, revenue management and operations.
To create impact, you'll have the responsibility to build and inspire a high-performing team of experts committed to realising our ambitious cargo vision.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and customer needs in the cargo sector.
Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors' offerings, pricing strategies, and service levels to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the cargo division, aligning it with broader organizational goals and ensuring it drives growth, profitability, and market share.
Revenue Growth: Develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability from cargo services, including pricing, customer segmentation, and product/service enhancements.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management
New Business Acquisition: Lead efforts to acquire new customers and expand the cargo division's market reach. This includes identifying potential clients, negotiating contracts, and building long-term partnerships.
Customer Retention: Establish strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
Key Account Management: Manage relationships with large, high-value customers, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services or upselling.
Collaboration with Sales Teams: Work closely with the sales team to support their efforts in securing new cargo contracts, providing them with insights into market trends and client needs.
Degree qualified, you will demonstrate 10+ years of experience in cargo commercial development within a global network airline.

Pricing and Product/Service Offering Management
Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing models and strategies that optimize revenue while remaining competitive in the market. This includes setting rates for different cargo services and ensuring profitability.
Product Development: Work with other departments (e.g., operations, logistics, and IT) to enhance or create new cargo services that meet the evolving needs of the market.
Service Portfolio Management: Continuously evaluate and refine the company's cargo offerings, ensuring that they align with customer expectations and market demands.
Partnerships and Strategic Alliances
Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop partnerships with other companies, such as freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and airlines, to extend service offerings and create new business opportunities.
Joint Ventures and Alliances: Develop joint ventures or strategic alliances with other industry players to expand market reach and service capabilities, both domestically and internationally.
