ALG has a challenging and exciting opportunity as a **Manager (Technical Engineering)** with our airline client in the Middle East. This is a permanent position employed directly under the client.

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently and effectively organize, plan and coordinate Engineering activities to provide technical guidance to improve aircraft/engine performance and reliability.
- Give guidance on all matters relating to maintenance, repair, overhaul, replacement and modification of aircraft and equipment.
- Manage the monitoring of all defects, delays, and component and engine removals and ensures advice situations are investigated and recommend remedial action.
- Manage the review of manufacturers and regulatory agencies technical data and recommend appropriate action to comply with regulations or improve performance and reliability and reduce cost of maintenance and overhaul.
- Liaise with manufacturer as necessary, and convert manufacturers Service Bulletins or other technical literature into the airline's documentation (Engineering Order, Special Work Instructions etc.)
- Evaluate specifications for the implementation of modifications and repair schemes etc. and advice on specialized tools or equipment required.
- Ensure all technical documents are evaluated and where applicable appropriate action is taken in the form of modifications, Technical Notices, raising AMP Amendments and other technical document amendments.
- Coordinate and conduct Investigation on incidents and accidents, initiate follow up action as required.
- To investigate component and system failure and initiate follow up remedial action.
- Support approval all local modifications, amendments to Maintenance schedule and Concessions on aircraft, components and parts.
- Support engineering functions of material management (Airbus FHS engineering, shop visits reports, etc.)
- Support aircraft delivery and redelivery (specifications, bridge checks, etc.)
- Define Technology strategy and resources for the E&M team.
- Manage cross functional investment strategies for system improvements.
- Lead management system improvement initiatives through process improvement, skill enhancement and tool development.
- Influence across company strategies and provides strategic recommendations to enterprise leaders.
- Develop people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on fostering strategic and systems thinking, development of talent, and succession planning across teams and functions.
- Influence company culture through action, presence, and integrity.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum of master's degree in aircraft engineering (A&P licences holder not accepted).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in airline engineering as technical services engineer AND 3 years as manager position in airline engineering.
- Must have powerplant engineer experience - preferably on CFM56 and LEAP-1A engines.
- Must have financial and management skills.
- Maintaining aircraft in the narrow body category (A320ceo/neo).
- Experience in low-cost airlines highly preferred.
