Ready to take your sustainability and leadership experience to the next level to work on complex problems that will have a huge impact on the local community? Parsons is now hiring a Sustainability Director who can lead a initiatives across the region.

Provides management and leadership across the MENA+ region with a focus on Sustainability efforts and best practices for both large and small projects, major programs and initiatives. The Sustainability Director will be a qualified and experienced professional capable of performing a full-time sustainability assessment and supervision role during design and construction phases of the relevant rating systems. Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills with experience of multiple-stakeholder engagement and of providing previous training preferred.

**Responsibilities**:

- Actively participates in and promotes the Parsons Sustainability Core Value.
- Heads a committee within the discipline, striving to motivate and educate the assigned personnel. Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees within the sustainability discipline. Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations and counsels as required.
- Responsible for overall managerial and technical direction of the sustainability discipline across relevant projects. Working closely with project owners, developers, design teams and Parsons project management team to achieve sustainability objectives in the design and planning process.
- Monitors the quality and progress of the sustainability focused work for projects across the MENA+ region.
- Assists in Major Programs start up and setting the strategy plan and direction for Major Programs.
- Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant on projects with a sustainability component.
- Presents to clients on technical aspects and assists in relevant project approvals.
- The Sustainability Director will monitor and stay engaged with all changing concepts involving sustainability and how it affects the A/E/C industry as a whole.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Construction Management or Design Discipline.
- LEED AP or PQP qualifications
- Fluent understanding of Estidama and LEED and Green Roads with LEED AP or PQP qualifications
- Detailed sustainable design knowledge and practical experience
- Ability to undertake first-pass desktop analysis of LEED/Estidama credit implications for proposed design alterations
- Experience of presenting environmental and sustainability topics to non-expert audiences.
- Previous international construction experience is an advantage
- Previous experience of Middle East construction
