**Position Purpose**

The AV Support Engineer is expected to be part of the Systems Integration team, to support the engineering team in the preparation, administration, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of CTME projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with pre-installation and rack-build activities.
- Be able to read CAD and line drawings and understand how to fault find AV Systems.
- Be able to terminate cables and understand industry best practices.
- Work as part of a crew or independently with general contractors & freelance staff.
- Develop project specific work plans and supervise other team members.
- Troubleshoot either remotely or on-site to resolve technical issues involving integration of multiple equipment, this includes networking, audio, video, and lighting.
- Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling, especially with terminating and testing cables to industry standards.
- Ability to safely use hand/power tools.
- Commitment to work within specified deadlines and provide daily field updates.
- Install all technical requirements and resources for all network & A-V requirements.
- Line manage in house and the freelance staff for project support as required.
- Ensure adherence to all site conditions and standards during DLP or SLA Period.
- Contribute to the production of all project documentation including O&M’s.
- Carry out Service Level Agreements and maintenance for various projects.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Troubleshoot any AV and IT System issues and recommend rectification.
- Be able to use relevant technical software for the support and maintenance of technical systems.
- Implement and supervise Standard Operating Procedures.
- Attend site for inspections, meetings as required.

**Person Specifications**
- Knowledge of relevant electrical, electronic and software systems/programmes and evidence of using them.
- Experience of operations and implementing maintenance systems.
- Experience of working in a technical & construction environment in the live and SI sectors
- Ability and knowledge to use tools properly and safely.
- Evidence of flexibility and ability to deliver to specified timeframes.
- Evidence of ability to work to standardised processes.
- Knowledge of construction H&S, site management and testing & commissioning.
- Evidence of training and experience of current H&S legislation and implementation.
- Track record of successful projects completed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Communicates in a positive and inclusive manner always demonstrating respect towards others regardless of job level.
- Structured, Methodical working practices.
- Strong attention to detail, data management and quality of work.
- Fluent in English, written & spoken.
- Flexible to work across 7 days a week, in a professional construction & event environment.
- Willingness to work independently and unsupervised or in a collaborative manner as part of a team.
- Willingness to share knowledge and expertise amongst the team and other members of staff.
- Manage junior personnel and sub-contractors.
- Able to deputise and/or provide coverage when requested.
- Participate in training as directed.
- Willing to work outside of the UAE on projects in the GCC and beyond.
