A Global IT consultancy is seeking a skilled professional to architect and manage enterprise storage and backup solutions. This pivotal role involves overseeing storage systems, backup operations, and disaster recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
  • Manage and operate backup solutions, including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Ensure data availability, integrity, and security through various tasks like configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting storage hardware and software.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
  • Support day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage), operating systems, networking concepts, and backup solutions.
  • Proven experience in managing and operating backup solutions, including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery strategies and business continuity planning.
  • Proficient in generating custom reports/dashboards and Knowledgebase documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to set goals, monitor progress, and ensure team objectives are met.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with all levels of management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure technology management.
  • Relevant certifications in storage and backup or infrastructure technologies are a strong advantage.
