The Sales Manager is responsible for technical electrical and digital sales for GS CD business and drives the growth beyond the core area.

Within his responsibilities reside the preparation of quotations and proposals, definition of project strategies and the integration of multiple BU offerings.

The Sales Manager will ensure that the customers reach their individual goals in partnership with Siemens and that Siemens Energy continually develops a digital product catalogue pointed in the right direction.

Reporting to the Head of Go-to-Market in Region Middle East, you will be based in Dammam but will closely work with the globally distributed experts.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Energy systems or associated fields.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems used in Power Plants
  • A good understanding (5+ years direct experience) of the energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, chemical or petrochemicals industry within a consulting or engineering environment in Saudi Arabia
  • Proven record of successfully working with digital business models
  • Strong understanding and experience in target/goaloriented digital roadmap creation from a value creation perspective.
  • Selfdriven and intrinsically motivated to take ownership of work.
  • Work in creative environments, employ outsidethebox thinking
  • Has experience and good track record in managing projects as well as expertise in case and business model development, project risk management, & stakeholder management.
  • Be an excellent communicator in culturally diverse environments
  • Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Your Responsibilities

  • Follow leads to initiate CD (Controls, Electrical & Digitalization) journey planning between the customer, regional sales teams and global project teams.
  • Organize and develop individual offerings together with our customers and Siemens Energy's market and domain experts
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and/or solutions out of the CD portfolio
  • Identify and followup on opportunities with customers in Saudi Arabia.
  • Be a leader in Service initiatives in the area of CD
  • Develop and execute an annual plan (the sales & marketing strategy) for meeting individual targets, and plan / forecast order volumes based on proactive opportunity development within Saudi Arabia for the CD portfolio line
  • Collaborate with each Service Business Unit to identify, evaluate, develop, and followup on CD business projects.
  • Develop and manage technical proposals and lead contract negotiation.
  • Further activities include developing and implementing sales strategies; managing customer relationships; pricing and sales activities; developing and implementing advertising and publicity campaigns.
  • Connect to the regional network of PMs and development teams to potential customer leads.
  • Have key insights into the Siemens Energy portfolio and be familiar with the products and their associated business models. Be a hunter
  • Learn and keep global network informed of competitive market information, discussing customer issues and building key internal relationships.
  • Good understanding of existing market and solutions in the O&G and power generation environment.
  • Ensure that products are developed sustainably: i.e. have real market viability in the general product portfolio.
  • Support Product Managers in aligning products with overall business strategy and strategic goals of their customers
  • Facilitate healthy knowledge sharing between Siemens Energy (as OEM) and customers
  • Provide voice of the client needs/competitive intelligence, market drivers and buying influences for the development of new product and service offerings
