Admissions Office Administrative Assistant Position Overview:
- The
American International School - Riyadh (AIS-R) is seeking a qualified administrative assistant to manage our Admissions Office processes.
Start date: August 20, 2023
Qualifications and Minimum Criteria:
- University/College Degree;
- Exemplary English communication skills, including written business English and telephone skills;
- Arabic Language Proficiency (Reading, Writing, Speaking)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant
- Excellent customer service skills desired
- Preferred experience in School Admissions
- Technology proficient;
- Organized, punctual and multitask oriented;
- Able to anticipate and prioritize workload;
- Excellent word processing, computer and proofreading skills;
- Effective, strong interpersonal and public relations skills;
- Able to work effectively with the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and and all community members;
- Selfmotivated, meets deadlines and pays strong attention to detail;
- Exercises mature judgment and maintains confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Admissions Office Assistant:
- Assists the Director of Admissions with filing, conducting campus tours, escorting prospective families to division offices, etc.;
- Assists in receiving and processing telephone inquiries to the Admissions Office;
- Communicates respectfully and effectively with prospective parents;
- Regularly translates documents from English to Arabic/Arabic to English when necessary (admittance letters, etc.);
- Prepares transcripts, school records and diplomas for attestation by the Ministry of Education;
- Manages and updates the school's Ministry of Education Program NOOR;
- Ensures that Admissions packets are completed and ready to be distributed at all times;
- Assists Arabicspeaking parents with the admissions process by providing translation services (Arabic fluency desired);
- Enters all new student data into AIS-R data management systems and updates records as needed;
- Processes AIS-R ID Cards for students, faculty and staff, parents, drivers and nannies;
- Assists with AIS-R document orders;
- Assists with endofyear withdrawal packets for ES, MS and HS withdrawing students;
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Admissions
Terms of Employment:
- Salary will be assigned from the Classified Salary Schedule (SEC); 200day contract, including work expectations on weekends (seasonal).
- Work hours 8:00 am 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on Tuesdays) Sunday
- Thursday.
- Salary Assignment: SEC Step 1.
Annual Salary amount:
SR 96,364.00.
- Salary and benefits are nonnegotiable.
Evaluation:
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with school policy by the designated supervisor.
