Your Opportunity
We are currently looking for a HSSE Technical Advisor who will implement the Safety Management System and is responsible for ensuring that all RCU and relevant HSSE requirements are incorporated as required for each project. Supporting the transformation of the client’s HSSE function by implementing strategic objectives, identifying operational challenges and remediation.

This role is part of our team of Advisory with Purpose team based in AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Accountabilities Maintain day to day management of HSSE compliance, assurance & training programs and assist in their development. Support the development and implementation of the HSSEMS. Review, monitoring of implementation of HSSE compliance assurance & training component of the HSSEMS. Maintain daily working relationship with other HSSE team members, line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance assurance & training compliance programs. Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Division to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSSE and balances overall associated costs. Review internal HSSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing or develop new recommendations from these assessments. Develop and coordinate the delivery of plans to put in place compliance activity where it is otherwise absent or unsatisfactory. Develop, coach and mentor internal HSSE auditors to ensure consistency across all projects. Conduct HSSEMS audits, recommend corrective actions and follow through on HSE areas for improvement. Lead the development and implementation of the Serco Management System (SMS) and provide the leadership to ensure that contents of Health, Safety, Quality & Environment and Information Security Policy Statements are known and understood by the contract staff. Provide input into the development of the Health, Safety, Security & Environment and Information Security Policy Statements. Ensure that a good HSSE and Information Security culture is promoted within their departments and among their peers. Lead by example and ensure that ways to conserve energy, water and resources and minimize the generation of waste are identified and responded to within the area of responsibility. Protect information assets and data including both electronic and paper based from all security threats whether internal, external and deliberate or accidental. Promote a good HSSE and Information Security culture among their departments and peers.

Specific Requirements
Ideally a degree holder or of a professional qualification in quality and safety management with membership of a recognized professional institution.
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of HSE management experience.
5 years of supervisory / managerial experience in the transport industry.
Good understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS18001;
Must be a skilled manager in communicating, motivating and developing staff;
Thorough understanding of all aspects of safety issues related to transport operations and maintenance.
Hands on experience in strategic HSSE, project management and policies
