**About the Role**

As a Training Manager at Unipart you will deliver hardware and training support to the repair centre and, on occasions, other functional areas. You will develop UL’s technical insight into the client’s present and future product portfolio in order to put in place more robust test methods for detecting symptoms and route causes with the aim of reducing warranty returns in line with our current contractual commitments.

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

- Be an active part of UL’s operational and technical management team to operate a world class logistics in KSA Undertake TNA to identify skill and capability gaps
- Create and develop a virtual training infrastructure to ensure effective induction and on the job training
- Train and develop a team of Technicians, OPC’s and where appropriate Team Leaders & Managers.
- Advise management on safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of the facility, protective equipment and control measures
- Liaise with the Operational Excellence Team regarding soft skills training delivery to support Gate to Great programmes
- Act as a coach/mentor to high potential and developing leaders
- Coordinate all training related administration (reports, training records, course administration)
- In emergencies, needs to be able to initiate suitable actions immediately, contact and communicate effectively with all relevant internal and external contacts
- Advise on training requirements and assisting with such training, where appropriate
- Promote within the Company an understanding that the effective management

**About You**

Essential:

- Knowledge and experience of Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Technology field
- Qualified to HNC/D, Degree level or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic engineering or Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Test engineering or Development Engineering
- Have experience of training large groups of people
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with varying levels of technical staff and customers
- Good team working and leadership skills (This role has the potential to progress upwards leading larger teams of engineers and technical staff)
- PC literate and competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel
- Capable of working to targets and time-scales
- Have a willingness to learn about new technology
- Have an appetite for innovation and support Unipart in becoming a leader within the industry.
- Be a self-starter.
- Ability and freedom to act under own initiative
- Ability to use own initiative to solve problem and reach solution
- Must be adaptable and able to react quickly and effectively to changes and requests
- Focus on ‘right first time’
- Be a creative problem solver
- Computer repair accreditation across platforms

- Training accreditations
- Knowledge of a wide array of computer platforms in both hardware and software
