**Accounting Director** in Al Khobar.

**Objective**:

- The Finance Accounting Target Operating Model (TOM) is a strategic project which is part of the bigger Programmed. The objective is to establish a new TOM as part of the deployment of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials and the roll-out of the Global Accounting Processes.
- Lead the Accounting Department and provide input and lead the implementation of Accounting Policies and Procedures to timely generate accounting information, meet reporting requirements, submit statutory returns to regulatory authorities, ensure quality of financial data and achieve compliance to accounting practices in line with accounting principles, internal controls, financial policies, controlling guidelines, Group standards and legal requirements.

**Duties Responsibilities**:

- Provide input and responsible for the Accounting Policies and Procedures considering accounting principles, financial policies, internal controls, controlling guidelines, global processes & procedures, Group standards and legal requirements
- Plan and organize initiatives to enhance financial data quality, achieve compliance, develop and embed controls to safeguard assets and manage risk appropriately.
- Lead design, development and implementation of Accounting & Reporting solutions and related processes.
- Manage and deliver cross-departmental projects to optimize finance and accounting processes and align to global standards.
- Set and influence overall accounting policies and direction including definition of roles and responsibilities within Accounting Department.
- Ensure accurate, timely and relevant information on financial accounts and governance matters is provided to CFO, executive team and shareholders.
- Lead implementation of robust internal controls to achieve compliance to financial accounting policies and governance requirements. Ensure preparation of financial statements as per accounting and accounting governance guidelines and timely implementation of changes to conform to relevant financial standards and to achieve a clean external audit report
- Oversee coordination of internal and external auditing activities and issue resolution together with line finance and auditing organization
- Conduct extensive analysis and resolve issues related to highly critical business topics and their treatment under IFRS accounting standards
- Lead the selection and management of external consultants and advisors such as accounting firms to ensure satisfactory standards of service
- Develop and implement improvements in Accounting & Reporting processes, systems and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency
- Oversee accurate production and timely submission of all reports and statutory returns to regulatory authorities in accordance with legal, regulatory, accounting and tax standards as well as accounting/ controlling guidelines and requirements
- Oversee P&L and balance sheet analysis, including variance analysis that supports notes and management commentary in the statutory financial accounts and reports as well as impact analysis of new accounting standards, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards on existing and new transactions
- Ensure support in fulfilling reporting tasks, reconciliation of all accounts and staying informed on changes in financial reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors
- Ensure policies and procedures on intercompany reconciliation are being respected and reports are delivered on time and meet quality standards and resolve escalated issues on intercompany reconciliation
- Manage an Accounting Department that includes multiple teams (O2C, P2P and R2R) led by Tower Managers
- Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers, auditors, suppliers etc.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in finance & Accounting. (mandatory)
- Profession Finance & Accounting Qualification like CPA, ACA. (mandatory)
- MBA in Finance, Accounting, economics, or business administration. (Preferable)
- 10+ Years’ Experience in finance & Accounting, with at least 5 years of leadership experience (mandatory)
- Typically, a highly experienced manager who manages an Accounting Department/ Shared Service Centre of a multi-national company in the areas of Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R)
- Responsible for short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of accounting strategy and operational direction of the Accounting Department within the Finance Function
