**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Responsibility to the Hawk and Aircrew Training (H&AT), Head of Academy and Flying Training (HoA&FT) for ensuring that the H&AT design, plan schedule and delivery activities are conducted in accordance with the corporate Framework (CF) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) requirements.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**The post holder is responsible for**:

- The overall authority on Cadets academic, aircrew and technical specialist training matters in the support of H&AT programme. The Job Holder will manage all training aspects of the H&AT programme and ensure that the relevant training governance is adopted such as BAE Systems reputation, external legislative requirements and internal operational framework mandate are assured and safeguarded.
- Implementing the key tenets of JSP822, especially Training needs Analyses throughout the training programme to ensure that the appropriate training syllabi, courseware and training devices are fit for purpose
- Maintaining relationships with key senior personnel to assure programme integrity.
- Providing leadership expertise and guidance to the various functional areas of the programme in support of training delivery.
- Development and maintenance of project plans, including H&AT Training Management Plan (TMP) and the service plan to meet customer and business needs.
- Assurance of all aspects of training delivery.
- Providing SME knowledge in support of the commercial aspects of flying and training business.
- Supporting Internal and external audits.
- Ensuring best practice in project and engineering management to reduce training risk and assure satisfaction of the customer and business objectives.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

**The post holder must**:

- Have held a senior position within a military air force and been part of that military’s aircrew.
- Have extensive experience in training operations.
- Have experience of training system design.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Have Familiarity with JSP822 (Defence Systems Approach to Training)
- Have Quality management experience
