We are looking for “Category Manager”, specialized in Bakery, Grocery and Fresh food to be hired on urgent basis in Qassim region.

**The Category Manager develops the overall strategy for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets.**

**The Category Manager ensures the pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize customer appeal for the short as well as long term.**

**The Category Manager leads a team that provides category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions.**

**The Category Manager provides leadership and support for the Group’s Business Development Department and Sales and Operations Department employees.**

**Furthermore, the Category Manager must ensure the implementation of policies and procedures, provide administrative support, and provide key strategic reporting to the Sales and Operations Director. In addition, also provides key insights to the Business Development Director.**

**The Category Manager aims at establishing a well-recognised and unique brand identity for each of the SBUs together with the Brand and Marketing Department employees, driving sales, and maintaining the set budget for each SBU.**

**The Category Manager finally must ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations of the Kingdom.**

**Grade Responsibilities**

**Strategies and Implementation**: Reviews and approves all relevant policies, processes, and standard business development procedures of the Department, ensuring they are designed and implemented to meet the Group’s objectives and to support it and its SBUs in achieving their overall sales objectives. Ensures that operations and activities related to Business Development within the Department are carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Reviews and approves business development goals and related strategic action plans.

**People Management**: Supervises the work of employees within the Business Development Unit. Ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations of the Kingdom and the Group’s policies and procedures and provides direct and indirect feedback to employees to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

**Time and Project Management**: Ensures that the Business Development employees perform their tasks and responsibilities within the acceptable and expected time range in order to complete assigned projects within the allocated timeframes.

**Continuous Improvement**:Contributes to the identification of gaps in the Business Development Plan and the Business Development Strategy for the Unit.

**Functional Responsibilities**

1. Develops the yearly Business Development Budget for each Product Category SBU.

2. Oversees the yearly Business Development Plan for each SBU.

3. Monitors and follows-up on the Business Development Plan on a quarterly basis by reviewing the monthly Business Development Plan Status Reports and ensuring the Plan is being followed.

4. Analyses data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends.

5. Develops corrective action plans and exit strategies for unsuccessful products when needed to.

6. Liaises with the Marketing Department to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.

7. Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories and determines the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.

8. Reviews the performance of a Brand Audit over each SBU on a quarterly basis.

9. Maintains monthly meetings in coordination with the Marketing and Branding Director in order to update the Sales and Operations Directors about each of the relevant SBU’s related undergoing activities.

10. Reviews and updates the Customer Value Proposition or “CVP” and ensures that a Product Comparison Research is conducted based on the CVP, for each of the existing products of the relevant SBU.

11. Develops CVP for each new product of the relevant SBU and ensures that a Product Comparison Research is properly conducted.

12. Develops the Pricing Strategies based on the Product Comparison Report and CVP, for both the existing products and the new products of the relevant SBU.

13. Studies, analyses, and chooses the most effective of the different pricing strategies for each product whether existing or new, to meet its intended strategic objective.

14. Reviews the Pricing Analysis Report highlighting on the pricing options that would most probably satisfy customers thus increasing profits.

15. Ensures that appropriate orders have been placed to ensure product availability meets consumer demand.

16. Calculate forecasts for product demand trends.

17. Conducts well-tailored training programs on a regular basis, to ensure that the employees under their supervision attend and receive skills and knowledge that are up to
