Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Director to join our Programme Management Centre (PMC) team on a major programme in Riyadh, KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project control procedures, systems, and processes to ensure effective management and reporting of project progress, cost, and schedule performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project control procedures, systems, and processes to ensure effective management and reporting of project progress, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize risks to the project.
  • Work closely with project teams to review and assess project progress, budget, and schedule through regular reporting and analysis.
  • Identify areas of concern or areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to ensure project success.
  • Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Extensive experience managing project budgets, schedules, and cost control activities.
  • Excellent understanding of project controls processes and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools like Primavera P5, MS Project, etc.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Essential experience in high-end mixed-use, residential, and infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience in PMC and project delivery on significant schemes.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English (Arabic preferred).
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills highlighting organization, time management, and flexibility.
  • Proven competence in overseeing multiple packages of work simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate intricate design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Applied financial acumen and attention to best value for investment within agreed budgets, ensuring cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.
  • Experience working with diverse and cross-functional team disciplines, fostering effective collaboration and integration of various stakeholders.
