About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to join our team at Perfect Vision. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Fleet Management Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive fleet management plans to optimize vehicle utilization, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet efficiency.
  2. Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage a team of fleet technicians, drivers, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  3. Coordinate Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the preventive maintenance, repair, and servicing of all fleet vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
  4. Monitor and Analyze Fleet Performance: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet management, such as vehicle utilization, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and downtime, to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely acquisition, deployment, and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment.
  6. Ensure Compliance and Safety: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet-related activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a safe working environment.
  7. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in fleet management to identify opportunities for process improvement and stay ahead of the competition.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Transportation Management, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications: Certifications in fleet management, such as NAFA or AFLA, are preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven experience in fleet management, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability and flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
