About the Position:
The Global Category Development Manager will be responsible for driving category development and growth across various business units. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for category expansion, process improvements, and supplier development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with Global Category Managers and Categories Team Leaders to drive procurement excellence
- Analyze market trends and economic evolutions to inform category strategies
- Identify and develop innovative supply chain/procurement analysis to add value to the business and end customers
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, including interactions with senior management and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of product policy, design/product development, and subcontract management
- Able to define and implement category strategy, manage complex sub-contracts, and lead negotiation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and Arabic
