Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Pastry Chef to lead our culinary team at Marriott International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries and desserts for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Pastry Culinary Team:
    • Supervise and manage a team of pastry chefs and cooks to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional guest service.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Culinary Standards and Responsibilities:
    • Ensure that all food products meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials.
  • Exceptional Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional guest service by ensuring that all menu items are prepared to perfection and presented in a visually appealing manner.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintaining Culinary Goals:
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve menu item quality, presentation, and flavor.
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure profitability.
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and specials.
  • Supporting Training and Development Activities:
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the culinary industry, preferably in a leadership role.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited culinary school or related field; 2 years of experience in the culinary industry, preferably in a leadership role.
