Job Description:

Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Construction Director to lead our construction activities. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of major projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, identifying critical milestones and priorities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet project objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Construction Superintendents, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and recommendations for promotions and salary actions.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve project-related issues, such as scope changes, schedule slippage, and budget overruns.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to sound construction practices, maintaining quality control and minimizing costs.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular project progress reports to senior management and clients, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company and client policies, procedures, and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Client and Community Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and government representatives, maintaining strong relationships and community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field or equivalent construction-related work experience.
  • 15+ years of direct experience in construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects.
  • Proven managerial capability on construction projects of comparable scope and complexity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
