Tendering and Sales Support Job Description

This job involves developing and implementing local Tendering and sales support strategy for local Transformers domestic sales unit in coordination with local Market Manager, HUB, supplying units, and Local FES to best serve Saudi market and BU growth plan.

\

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and ability to create and complete bids or estimations or quotations based on customer specifications or customer requirements to achieve market competitiveness and high margin for the Company and in line with Company regulations, T&Cs, and Risks review.

\

Key Responsibilities

\
  • Develop and implement local Tendering and sales support strategy for local Transformers domestic sales unit in coordination with local Market Manager, HUB, supplying units, and Local FES.
  • Ensure smooth homologation or prequalification process of new supplying units into Saudi across different market segments or end users in coordination with Local Market Manager, HUB, and Supplying units.
  • Coordinate tendering activities associated with local domestic sales unit across allocated product groups (DTR, DRY, and Power Transformers).
  • Oversee the entire tendering process from Pre-Bid stage to finalization stage ensuring best planning and execution.
  • Lead reviews/follow-up calls with supplying units (Plants) and demand (FES) to ensure timely receipt of Quotes & support and lead RR activities and approvals.
  • Schedule post-bid clarifications in coordination with FES and supplying units as needed during finalization/negotiation stage.
  • Analyze Lost-Win results and share with MM and sales; provide support for budgetary quotes as needed and oversee Orders handover to Operation sales with full alignment and coordination with FES.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to prepare proposals ensuring they adhere to Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements.
  • Identify competitive offers considering market situation and customer conditions and propose suitable approaches (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) to better serve customer and Hitachi Energy.
  • Capture market intelligence feedback associated with each tender/product line and record same for analysis (price trending).
  • Validate terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer and lead Risk reviews and calls to fill RR database with necessary information in coordination with local sales organization, local legal, HUB Contract management, and BU RR.
  • Provide technical support and clarification as needed during Sales organizations' technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers.

Requirements

\
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant industry required.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in Tendering and Quotation of Power Transformers and Service.
  • Exposure to Contract Management & Risk Reviews an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English language required.
