Job Title: General Manager – Business Development

As a key member of the Management Team of the BU Vopak Asia and Middle East (Vopak AME), you will be responsible for developing and implementing the business strategy and plan for KSA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in existing and new markets, and drive the complete Business Development plan through expansion and targeted acquisitions in Vopak AME division.
  • Participate in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and divestment projects in division AME.
  • Develop and manage a network in KSA with relevant internal and external stakeholders, representing Vopak's interest in the main platforms aligned with Vopak AME.
  • Understand the regulatory environment, identify and seek applicable subsidies and grants.
  • Coordinate the work of the project development team, including relevant functions and external consultants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of successful project development/investment experience in infrastructure or oil & gas projects.
  • Familiarity with the KSA economy, including users, producers, consumers, opportunities, technologies, cost drivers, and key risks.
  • Familiarity/competence with project management processes and fundamentals.
  • Track record of relevant professional experience working with and influencing large, interdisciplinary, and international teams.
