Job Description

Role Summary

The Conference Producer will be responsible for producing high-level industry-relevant conference programs, liaising with key professionals and institutions, and engaging with recommended speakers to confirm their attendance. The successful candidate will have meticulous organizational skills, commercial awareness, and research-based experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conference Production
    • Develop and implement conference programs that meet industry standards.
    • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure speaker engagement and program quality.
    • Manage speaker databases and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
    • Prepare and communicate creative briefs to the marketing team.
    • Lead telesales briefs and track progress.
    • Ensure all CME/CPD application forms and supporting documentation are completed online within deadlines.
    • Assist in providing leads to the sponsorship team and attend sales meetings as necessary.
    • Mentor other conference producers within the team.
    • Conduct post-show analysis of the event, including job title analysis.
  • Market Research and Industry Networks
    • Conduct research on industry topics with relevant professionals and the target market.
    • Develop new conference ideas and program content through meetings and tele-research with key experts.
    • Collaborate with the Director and other sales team members to generate ideas for enhancing the conference portfolio.
    • Identify key opinion leaders, institutions, and companies related to the event.
    • Maintain existing and build new relationships to develop a conference with topics and speakers.
    • Provide a list of hospitals that are leaders in specialist areas relating to the event.
    • Explore additional add-ons and ways to attract more delegates, such as workshops, poster sessions, and partnering with associations.
  • Speaker & Delegate Liaison
    • Liaise and network with speakers, exhibitors, and delegates on-site to maintain customer service standards, resolve queries, and gain feedback.
    • Assist with onsite duties as required for the duration of the event, which may involve longer working hours.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum two years' experience in conference production.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Research-based role.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • Brand and market awareness.
