Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to join our Western Region Manufacturing Business Support Division (WRMBSD).
The successful candidate will play a critical role in planning, procurement, and administration of contracts across our Western Region Manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Key responsibilities include directing a team in our Contracts Procurement & Administration Group, maintaining compliance with established corporate contracting policies and procedures, and providing technical expertise to ensure proper and timely planning, procurement, and administration of contracts.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Direct a team in our Contracts Procurement & Administration Group to ensure timely and effective contract management.
- Maintain compliance with established corporate contracting policies and procedures, supporting proponent technical/operational requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop guidelines, coordinate activities, and provide technical expertise to ensure proper and timely planning, procurement, and administration of contracts.
- Oversee 50+ contracts and amendments/cancel & supersede.
- Provide direction, advice, and solutions to proponents and contractors regarding contract administration, extension, renewal, and termination.
- Liaise between contracting groups, proponents, contractors, and Saudi Aramco stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement, mobilization of contractors, compliance with applicable procedures & policies, resolve disputes and conflicts with contractors, advise on terms and conditions of the contracts to proponents and contractors to serve their objectives and goals pertaining to smooth plant operations.
- Coordinate and communicate with key personnel to assist with representatives of Contracting Department, Functional Review organizations (financial and legal), or proponents for the development of contract requirements, contracting plans, and their implementation.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions of contract services, claim settlement, determine technical qualification of bidders, develop scope of service and provisions for payment, or other contract interpretation and clarifications.
- Direct and participate in the development of engineering and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical, financial, and/or procedural/administrative.
- Coordinate and participate in the development of Company risk analysis or exposure and technical qualification of bidders.
A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Supply Chain Management is required.
Minimum 12 years' experience in hydrocarbons or related industries with knowledge of refineries, NGL, or petrochemical plants operations, maintenance as service contracts in planning, procurement, administration, auditing, compliance, and contracting techniques and procedures.
Prior experience working at business level managing tens of contracts serving regions, facilities, several stakeholders, and working with executives is beneficial.
Previous experience working as a leader managing contracts and advising senior management is essential.
