Job Summary:

The Technical Services Manager is a critical role within Abbott Healthcare Pt Ltd, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience and driving business growth in the Middle East region. This position requires a highly motivated and self-starting individual with a strong background in biomedical engineering, medical technology, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Experience: Deliver best-in-class customer experience to all customers across the region by executing on service delivery processes and creating customer loyalty.
  2. Technical Services: Monitor and support regional technical services activities, including instrument installation, maintenance, connectivity, replacement, and consumable consumption.
  3. Training and Development: Evaluate local product-related educational needs and deploy training programs to address identified needs, ensuring the efficiency of training against set goals and criteria.
  4. Business Growth: Support local sales teams by being the preferred contact point for customer technical and training stakeholders, engaging in sales activities where technical support is required, and reviewing tenders/bids technical specs and requirements for proper product selection.
  5. Partnerships: Build partnerships internally and externally with distributors or other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of required services and develop solutions to any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

  • Motivated, self-starting individual with several years of experience in a similar role, working with large teams and international teams.
  • BSC or BTech Degree in Biomedical Engineering, BTech in Medical Technology, BSC Biological Sciences, or equivalent degree with experience working with IVD's or a strong laboratory background.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with experience with Connectivity (IOT) a distinct advantage.
  • Project management skills or certification are an advantage, as is application experience.
  • Experience working in a program environment or working with or for implementing partners is an advantage.

Regional Responsibility: Middle East, including Saudi, North Africa, East Europe, and Russia.

Travel: Up to 60% travel time.

Location: Saudi – preferably Riyadh.

Languages: Fluent in both Arabic and English.
