Job Description:

The role of the Commercial Director at BAE Systems Saudi Development & Training (SDT) involves providing commercial leadership to the business, promoting a culture of informed decision making and supporting the negotiation of contracts which support the Integrated Business Plan (IBP).

The job holder will be responsible for optimizing career opportunities for Saudi nationals, transferring key commercial expertise and ensuring that BAE SDT develops and delivers significant indigenous capability and value to Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy appropriate governance, policies and processes to underpin commercial and procurement capability.
  • Ensure the activities and objectives of the team are fully integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support business winning, managing cash and improving sustainable profitability.
  • Lead contract negotiations to ensure the successful conclusion.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent and c. 15+ years commercial/procurement experience.
  • Experience of working effectively with BAE Systems Group/Business Units and senior stakeholders in the Customer and partner company communities.
  • Strong relationship developer and influencing skills.
