Job Summary

Al Safi Danone is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to lead a team to effectively achieve sales targets in accordance with company policies, procedures, and systems in the respective geographic area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Meet with team on a daily basis to discuss daily operations/targets, including journey planning, and agree on corrective actions with salesmen after their field visits.
  2. Market Intelligence: Obtain and maintain knowledge of sales and distribution channels and of competitors' activity throughout the area, and share and discuss with the Area Sales Manager for appropriate actions.
  3. Weekly Planning: Develop the weekly plans for the assigned area in line with targets and send those plans to the Branch or Area Sales Manager.
  4. Field Execution: Follow up daily on the sales plan and ensure implementation in the field as well as better customer service as per customers' classification.
  5. Key Account Management: Execute agreements with local Key accounts, according to instructions, and with alignment with the Area Sales Manager.
  6. Customer Relations: Maintain good business relations with the representatives of Key Accounts in the area.
  7. Journey Planning: Make and execute the daily journey planning for the salesmen in the team in order to plan customer routes efficiently in alignment with company procedures and the Area Sales Manager.
  8. On-the-Job Coaching: Conduct weekly work-withs (route-ride) in order to ensure SOP and standards execution and Salesman development through on-the-job coaching.
  9. Team Supervision: Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of sales branch activity is carried out in an efficient, effective, and procedurally compliant manner.
  10. Performance Feedback: Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates in order to ensure their continuous development.
  11. Training and Development: Train own team in the field on Sales fundamentals and skills (Distribution, Coverage, and Visibility) and update them periodically about company and Sales policies.
  12. Compliance: Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing/Commerce/Finance or Diploma in Sales/Marketing.
  2. Strong preference for candidates in the Dairy Industry. Candidates from food and beverage companies may also apply.
  3. 4-5 years relevant experience in Sales with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
